The enzyme recognizes the palindromic hexanucleotide DNA sequence<br data-start=\"452\" data-end=\"455\" \/><strong data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"472\">5\u2032-TTA\u2191TAA-3\u2032<\/strong> and cleaves it to generate <strong data-start=\"500\" data-end=\"514\">blunt ends<\/strong>, as indicated by the arrow. Thus, PecI is a <strong data-start=\"559\" data-end=\"580\">true isoschizomer<\/strong> of the restriction endonuclease <strong data-start=\"613\" data-end=\"621\">PsiI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"832\">Compared to PsiI, PecI offers several advantages, including <strong data-start=\"684\" data-end=\"715\">higher enzyme concentration<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"720\" data-end=\"752\">100% activity in ROSE buffer<\/strong>, which enables the availability of a <strong data-start=\"790\" data-end=\"831\">Turbo version for rapid DNA digestion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"834\" data-end=\"900\">The properties of PecI are described in the following publication:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"902\" data-end=\"1258\">Gonchar D.A., Chernukhin V.A., Dedkov V.S., Mikhnenkova N.A., Abdurashitov M.A., Belichenko O.A., Degtyarev S.Kh.
