Description M.HspAI Methyltransferase modifies the internal cytosine residue (C5) in the recognition sequence forming 5`-G(5mC)GC-3`/3`-CG(5mC)G-5`.
Unit definition One unit of the enzyme is the amount required to protect 1 μg of Lambda DNA in 1 hour at 37°C in a total reaction volume of 20μl against cleavage by HspAI restriction endonuclease.
